Award-Winning Blood-Clot Awareness Campaign
Blood clots cause 1 in 4 global deaths, yet awareness of the risk of blood clots (thrombosis) is dangerously low. Urban Emu partnered with the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) to raise global awareness of blood clots and help prevent deaths worldwide by promoting World Thrombosis Day (WTD). We created an award-winning campaign with a new website, a comprehensive social media strategy, and a campaign toolkit to help healthcare workers spread awareness.
The campaign included:
- A new WTD website which served as a central resource on blood clots
- Campaign strategy and messaging framework to make sure our campaign made a lasting impact
- Social media pages and a Social Media Toolkit for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to spread the word
- Branded campaign materials, infographics & speaker presentation templates
- Collaboration with 175+ partners to encourage participation and sponsorship
- Over the last 7 years, the WTD campaign has more than doubled the number of participating countries.

- 96% of corporate partners pledged future participation
- Winner: Two (2) Silver Anvils from PRSA National
