Background
Urban Emu was tasked to position the organization’s unique value proposition within a diverse grantee landscape. The allpointsnorthfoundation.org redesign and strategic positioning allowed the organization to grow by offering new grantees opportunities in the areas of Solar and Education.
The website was designed to meet the user’s expectations and the specific needs of modern consumers, by improving the general design and user experience, increasing engagement, expanding features, and improving use-case coverage.
Our Approach
Urban Emu’s approach was rooted in deep collaboration with the organization’s executive director, internal staff and board of directors, to understand their unique goals and long-term growth strategy. Our initial focus was to identify issues with the existing website experience and establish new goals that would make the redesign successful for the organization. We helped them identify the relationship with their existing grantees, and defined a roadmap to achieve growth and success. We performed a heuristic evaluation that allowed us to identify areas of concern, poor user experiences and unique features to enhance the website’s performance.
The Outcome
The result was an optimized, mobile-friendly website that strategically focused on the end-user throughout all site touch-points. The new website allows grantees to find the information they’re looking for easily and within a defined user journey map. The site has successfully grown the organization’s grantee list by 200% since launch, and continues to grow and establish itself within a saturated competitive landscape.
